Appreciating Kanab

We celebrated another Employee Appreciation Breakfast and Heart of Stampin’ Up! employee today . . . this time in our Kanab facility. It wasn’t much different—breakfast with great people, good food, and a wonderful opportunity to thank our Stampin ‘ Up! employee family members for everything they do!

There were a few things that set this breakfast apart from last week’s. First, the corporate team members who cooked and served the food had to leave this morning by 4 a.m. to get to Kanab in time to start breakfast and have it ready by 9 a.m. It wasn’t that hard for me to get up at 3 a.m., but I will admit that about 5 or 6 this morning, I was cranking up the music to stay awake!

The other thing that made this morning memorable was the warm weather—it was warm enough that we actually ate outside! That’s a welcome treat after a cold Utah winter!

It was wonderful to spent time with Kanab Stampin’ Up! family—they are amazing people! I served drinks (juice and milk) and so completely forgot to take pictures, but I was able to thank most of the employees personally for all that they do. I think some people were relieved that they didn’t have to duck out of sight, which they tend to do when I pull out my camera.

And of course, the highlight of breakfast was announcing our Kanab Heart of Stampin’ Up! winner. (We have several hundred employees in Riverton, and less than a hundred in Kanab—that’s why we had multiple winners in Riverton and only one in Kanab.) Emily Thebeau works in Global Operations as a process improvement supervisor, and she certainly deserves this recognition!

So since I was up this morning at 3 a.m., I’m past ready to call it a night . . . thanks one more time to our amazing Stampin’ Up! employees, in every office, in every market around the world!
